Speak Spanish Language Today

There are great potentials in multilingualism, in the ability to speak as many languages as possible, yet most human beings speak or prefer to speak only their native language all their lives, despite having found themselves on many occasions in embarrassing situations in which speaking a foreign language would have saved the day.

Learning a language can be likened to getting involved in physical exercise. Everybody, well, almost everybody wants to do it but only very few really do. The rest of us keep hoping to find the time to start one day. Most people admire bilinguists and multilinguists, they long to be able to speak that sweet language they so much love when they hear it spoken, but for some reason they can’t seem to explain, they never get to start the course.

But the truth is that the ability to speak more than one language, no matter one’s profession or occupation, is a great asset. As a professional linguist, in the fields of translation and interpretation, one enjoys the exotic excitement, assured monetary rewards, admiration and popularity that come with the job. As a non-professional linguist, one enjoys almost the same things in one’s chosen profession, plus the peculiar linguistic advantages attached to that profession. In the employment offices of today, knowledge of computers and knowledge of languages are the two top prerequisites to get most jobs; and in a job interview office full of applicants brandishing big degree certificates, those who speak languages stand the chance of being situated in front of the pack.

Spanish is the sweet romantic language I would recommend to anybody eager to learn a foreign language. Apart from being the third most widely spoken language in the world, it is one of the many official languages of the United Nations and is the Lingua Franca of the tourism capital of the world – Spain, the birthplace of literary giants like Miguel de Cervantes, who gave birth to the famous Don Quijote de la Mancha.
